Mrs. Vanessa Gouveia Davies

Mrs. Vanessa Gouveia Davies is a graduate of York University where she earned an Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film History and Theory and minored in Geography. Mrs. Davies has a passion for the arts (particularly theatre) and loves to share her passion with her students. While at York University, Mrs. Davies was part of Vanier College Productions where she had a chance to perform in Musicals and the infamous Improv team which she later assistant directed after graduating. Other activities Mrs. Davies is proud to be apart of while attending York University are: two years of Orientation Leaders (aka Frosh Boss), Vanier College Residence Security, was a Residence Fire Warden, and was trained in First Aid, CPR and dealing with difficult situations and persons.
After obtaining her Undergraduate degree, Mrs. Davies went to Niagara University, Ontario Campus, for Teachers College. Here she was able to learn more about one of her passions: Learners with Deafness. Mrs. Davies started to learn American Sign Language in September 2011 and would love to continue to learn and work with students with deafness. After graduating Teachers College, Mrs. Davies uprooted her life to go on a grand learning experience and teaching adventure; she moved to South Korea where she taught English in a public school for two years in Ulsan.
From a young age, Mrs. Davies has had a passion for learning and teaching and would love to share her energetic, artistic and enthusiastic spirit with children today.
